To ignite the conversations that enable real change and empowerment, The Concordia Project has created a global think tank for women.

By having small groups join each other to discuss the critical questions women are facing, we’re providing a springboard for discovery, collaboration and action around the world. Most importantly, we’re creating an environment for mentorship where different generations can come together to discuss issues that are now very much at the forefront. Whether part of the cultural and economic discussion of Nepal, the United States, Pakistan, or Uganda, issues such as gender parity and domestic violence affect and connect every woman, and we know that change and understanding will be ignited by our similarities, rather than our differences. We are seeing that in real-time with every conversation we host, whether by video or in person.

We are choosing women worldwide to take part in these discussions. Participation is free, and open to women over 18 years of age if selected from our application process. Our list of Frequently Asked Questions is below, and our Privacy Policy has further details. Here are the steps to apply for the think tank:

1. Apply.

While participation is free, it requires some effort on your part, as you will need to be chosen for the think tank. First you’ll answer a few brief questions so we can understand more about you, your world view, and what you can contribute to the conversation. Be bold!

2. Get selected.

If you are selected to participate, we will send you information for the next group call or event in your area. At the very least, you will need an internet connection to join us.

3. Participate.

You will then meet for our virtual and in-person discussions with other women from around the world to discuss the issues most critical to your future, and see what ignites you to take action! During the think tank, and after its completion, you will have access to a private discussion group for further conversation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO THE DISCUSSIONS WORK?

Depending on where you are, you can participate by video call or attend in person. Right now most calls are happening by video, with women from around the world, and we will develop events on every continent by 2020.

WHAT KINDS OF THINGS DO YOU TALK ABOUT?

To date, our conversations have been very organic, stemming from the thoughts our participants have shared in a given session. This has led to some very powerful discussions that transcend borders and cultural experiences to discover the root of what it means to be a human on Planet Earth. Going forward, we are developing a curriculum to add more structure to the conversations as our participant numbers grow.

IS WHAT I SHARE CONFIDENTIAL?

Your identity will always remain confidential. We do gather information for the purpose of developing insights and doing research, but our main concern is to ensure your well-being, so nothing identifiable will ever be shared without your explicit permission.

WHERE ARE YOUR LIVE EVENTS HAPPENING?

So far we’ve held events in the United States, Nepal and India. We will add to these as time goes by, because we know the value of face-to-face interactions in discussing matters so important and personal.

DOES IT COST ANYTHING TO PARTICIPATE?

There is no cost to participate in the think tank. You will need an internet connection, but if you’re reading this, you already have one!

WHAT COUNTRIES ARE PARTICIPANTS FROM?

We currently have participants from the U.S., Japan, Nepal, India, Czech Republic, the Philippines and Afghanistan. Our goal is to have all countries represented by 2030.
